Batch Version update

I am looking for a way (macro maybe?) to perform a batch operation on all
..Published projects.

I need to be able to give this macro some input "SomeVersion name". (Assume
this Version already exists in Project Server)
When run, it would:
1. open each "ProjectName.Published" project,
2.Save-as "Projectname.SomeVersion name"
3.Publish all info
4. Close the project
5. Repeat for the rest of the .Published projects.

I am a newbie to development, so any help that can be provided is greatly
appreciated.
