BCC LINE

I have Outlook Express 97. When sending a new msg, I have
a cc: line; but I also need a bcc: line, which is not
available in this version. I send an e-newsletter to many
people and need to eliminate the long list of recipient
names and addresses that appear at the receiving end. Can
I upgrade to a version that gives me a bcc: line so that I
can put my recipient address book name there? My
operating system is Windows 95. Thanks in advance.

Hi,
Outlook Express 97? Have you tried to upgrade to the
latest Outlook Express version? I don't remember an
Outlook Express 97, but it has been a while since then. In
Outlook 97, you can hit the view menu and check mark the
BCC line. In Outlook Express, you can check mark 'view all
headers' in the view menu. Both programs show the BCC
field when you open the address book from the address line
in a message. Upgrade your version (Outlook Express is
free). Hope this helps.

There is no such thing as OE97 - Outlook Express is 'part' of IE (just as
Communicator is part of Netscape) and, therefore, shares its version number.
OE isn't, and has never been, a component of Office. If you really do mean
Outlook Express, then you're posting in the wrong place and I suggest you
try one of the OE newsgroups (there are many). If, OTOH, you really did mean
Outlook, then may I suggest you avail yourself of the online help, because I
can assure you that Outlook 97 does have a BCC function.
