BCC option for Calendar events?

Version: 2008
Operating System: Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard)
Processor: intel
Email Client: pop

Is there a way to send a calendar event as BCC? This option does not seem to be available in 2008. i need to send meeting invites to competing companies and don't want to be sharing their details with each other. If anyone could assist I'm be really grateful.
