My BCM data base has become corrupted. After a miserable experience with
VISTA I upgraded to 7 on my HP laptop and continue to have problems in
Outlook BCM. Latest occurred when I attempted to add a contact the system
indicated that I as administrator did not have the proper privileges and BCM
indicated that my access address was not signed in. I moved to run error
check and BCM stalled then froze. I shut down, cleaned and defragged, opened
up BCM and encountered a dialogue box in the error check run that stated that
the system had discovered error that could not be fixed and to restore the
BCM files.
In running a restore, I encountered a dialogue box that states "Changes to
the state or options of DB 'MSSmallBusiness' cannot be made at this time. The
database is in single-user mode, and a user is currently connected to it.
ALTER DATABASE statement failed.
I need a fix. I am the only user on this system -
What have you done to your OS after XP. Vista was a disaster and to the
moment our experience with 7 is beginning the same way.
