In Outlook 2007 with BCM 2007 in a Shared Environment, the Current View seems
like it is not saved. However, the problem is that the Current View seems to
be shared across all users in the shared environment.
If I run outlook.exe /cleanviews, all the default views are restored in
Outlook. If I then, alter the Business Contacts folders view by adding a
field or change to Phone List. My change is reflected in all other users
Current View for BCM.
I don't think that is the intended purpose of the Folder Views as everyone
works differently and users view their folders in a unique fashion. However,
the BCM has implemented it in that fashion. I think it is using a table
called FolderPropertiesTable and since it is shared, everyone is reading the
same view. I think this is a bug.
Steps to reproduce issue:
You need 2 computers using BCM 2007 in Shared Environment, both in Online
mode.
1. On computer A, switch the view to Phone List and re-order the fields.
2. Wait a few minutes for changes to take affect.
3. On computer B, do a search for a Contact and then X the search.
Computer B search should have the same view as A.
Please let me know if there is a fix or work around.
