BCM installs but will not run

I installed BCM on a new computer after using it (and it worked) on my old
computer. After installation, when Office was launched, I got a screen to
setup BCM. When I tried to do that, I got the following message: "An
error has occurred which stops Business Contact Manager for Outlook from
starting. Remove Business Contact Manager for Outlook, and then reinstall it.
If the error recurs, click Help."

I un-installed and re-installed - didn't help. Uninstalled Norton, tried
again, didn't work. I've tried several times. I have searched every
resource I can find to get an answer, to no avail. I cannot find any other
options to try to get it to
work.

I have Vista 64 bit on a new Dell M1530. It had been working well on my
old computer. Outlook 07 is working fine. I checked for the presence of
the SQL database and it's there. Thanks for any suggestions. Jim

If BCM gets as far as running the 1st use wizard and then fails,
failure to connect to sql is a likely reason.

Try turning on logging, through the Registry, and see if the log has
any details on what's failing.

Luther - thanks so much for your response to my earlier question. t
The link you provided says to log on through the registry by manually adding
the following keys prior to starting Outlook:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Business Solution eCRM. Can you advise
how to "manually add the keys before starting Outlook?" Thanks !!

Window's Help system does a better job of explaining the Registry than
I can.

Jim,
I seem to be having a similar issue, and I'm a novice when it comes to
editing registry keys. Were you able to get yours running?
