BCM missing data in database

Judging by the limited number of questions and the total lack or responses,
it's unlikely that I'll get help here, but let me give it a shot.

I recieved an error message that the state of the database was "unknown",
and it launched something automatically to "fix" it. the next time I started
up my machine, account and business contacts were missing, even though they
showed up on the nav bar, just empty. I changed nothing and everything is up
to date. There was lots of data there, and I didn't back it up cause I
couldn't figure out how. In searching for "restore" I discovered the
internal backup feature.

I believe the data is there, but it is not longer vissible to the software.
Anyone there who can help?

Hi,
Try this option:
1. Go to File-->Data File Management
2. Select "Business Contact Manager" in Outlook Data Files Window and click
on Remove.
3. Then click on Add and select "Business Contact Manager Database". Click OK.
4. This will bring up the wizard for associating a BCM database.
5. Here, select the "Use Existing" option and check out the databases
available in the drop down. Probably there are more than 1. check each of
them out using the above mentioned procedure to see if anyone has your data.

My guess is that your profile has gotten associated with some new database
and hence you are not able to view your data.
Thanks.
