BCM on SQL is very slow on SBS

I convinced a group of 6 people to share a bcm database on our small business
server. I'm using sql express on the SBS until I can install r2.

I have noticed a considerable speed issue on computers since installing the
shared BCM. I've bumped the laptops to 2gb of ram to handle it but it's still
slow. Furthermore the "check for errors" on the database management screen is
greyed and I cannot check that.

do I need to improve the performance of my server to handle this? Is there a
tool to manage and speed up the database?

I don't have any answers for you but I can tell you that adding
memeopry to the server won't solve the issue. Lots of poeple have this
issue, I included, but i have yet to find a naswer to the problem. I
have read that uninstalling BCM and .net and then reinstalling both
helped some people but it didn't work for me.

Sorry I cant be of more help but it doesn't appear to be a memory
issue.
