BCM question about archiving contacts. (Sorry)

Sorry everyone for posting a BCM question in here. The BCM forums seem to take days to respond and I kinda wanted a quick answer this one time.

In Outlook - I used to move contacts over to my archive folder when I had no further dealings with the contact.

With BCM, things seem different.

As the contacts get more and more how do you move them to another BCM database? I can't seem to make another database.

In a perfect world, I'd like to make another database called 'archive' in BCM and simply copy contacts there one by one. Apparently this isn't possible.

So what's the next best scenario? What does everyone else do with un-needed contacts other than simply delete them?

Again, sorry for posting this in here.

It's been a long time since I last used BCM but I know you can't have two
BCM databases.

Can't have 2 databases at all no matter what?

Or do you mean that you can have 2 but only one open at a time?

you can't have two open at once (like you can with a pst)- so you can't
transfer contacts from one db to an 'archive' db easily, like you can with
outlook. You could back up the db and then delete the contacts - but
recovery means loading the old db and losing the new data.
