I am running Windows XP sp3, Office Pro 2007 with Business Contact Manager
sp1. Several months ago, I tried unsuccessfully to install BCM on this
computer - don't recall exactly what the problem was then.
Today, I tried reinstalling BCM again. Before attempting the install, I
created a restore point, checked to make sure Interop and Small Business
Connectivity items were deleted from Control Panel. There were no SQL items
listed. So I ran setup. BCM appeared to install, but then I received a
message "Setup failed to install Business Contact Manager for Outlook 2007."
No error numbers.
By the way, the logs said that the installation of BCM, Interop and SB
Connectivity was successful! Interop and SB Connectivity appear in the
Control Panel under Add/Remove. BCM does not. Nor does SQL server 2005.
On my other computer, I had to reformat my hard drive and start over because
of SQL error issues that could not be resolved by Microsoft support. I'm
hoping I don't have to resort to that on this computer.
I would very much appreciate any suggestions anyone might have.
