Real quick conceptual questions on sharing BCM: (btw, I have a small
network of >10 users and we are all running OL 2007, with the BCM
that
came with OL 2007)
1. We currently share public folders on an exchange server and it
works great! However, I like some of the features of BCM. Am I
correct that if you share the BCM folders in OL you are NOT using
exchange, but instead are just sharing a common database? If that is
true, is this slower/less reliable than exchange? Does anyone have
experience sharing BCM, and if so, what is your feedback? Does it
work well?
2. I tried to share from my machine, but it states that I cannot
because I am using XP home. Will I have to install the Outlook and
BCM programs on
my server in order to share it accross the network, or can I just
simply locate the database file on the network drive?
Thanks!
