BCM/SQL MSSMLBIZ busted in Vista ?

I recently upgraded to Vista and haven't been able to run BCM since. The
upgrade was smooth except for BCM (SQL Server MSSMLBIZ, rather) which quit
working. SQLEXPRESS is working fine but when I try to start SQL Server
(MSSMLBIZ) from the Configuration Manager it fails. The event log shows the 6
errors below.

Does anyone know what these messages mean ? I did a Google and noticed that
several people have the same problem but no one has been able to come up with
a solution yet.

I installed SP2 for SQL2005 but didn't make any difference.

Any help will be HUGELY APPRECIATED!!!!!!!!!!

Event Log messages:

- FallBack certificate initialization failed with error code: 4.
- Unable to load user-specified certificate. Because connection encryption
is required, the server will not be able to accept any connections. You
should verify that the certificate is correctly installed. See "Configuring
Certificate for Use by SSL" in Books Online.
- TDSSNIClient initialization failed with error 0x80092004, status code 0x80.
- TDSSNIClient initialization failed with error 0x80092004, status code 0x1.
- Could not start the network library because of an internal error in the
network library. To determine the cause, review the errors immediately
preceding this one in the error log.
- SQL Server could not spawn FRunCM thread. Check the SQL Server error log
and the Windows event logs for information about possible related problems.

More info on this (partial fix).

I logged On locally (Logon as Local System account from Services console),
and BCM and OA2007 came back to life. At least I can access the data
locally. That's an improvement.

However, logging in as a Network Service fails with the errors I transcribed
in my previous posting.

This is surprising because SQLEXPRESS is running fine logged on as a network
service. This means that the underlying "plumbing" is set up correctly. The
problem seems to be localized in MSSMLBIZ.

Anyone has any insight into this problem ??
