Hi i just install the bcm update

1- when sahring database i have beeb ask once to set option. One of those
option eas to use simple sharing. How can i have acess to that setting. I
leave it check because i was not sur but now i thing i have to uncheck it to
allow a better sharing.

2- For giving share acess it is specify that we can give acess to someone
who is not a user of the pc. They give the procedure. we should be able to
enter username and ....
«If the user to whom you want to grant access is not on the Users with
access to this computer list, you can grant them access to your computer.
How?.....
In the Add User dialog box, type the User Name and the Domain of the user,
and then click OK.

What is the exact syntax i should use, i cannot find how to write this.

1) Simple File Sharing has to be turned on for BCM to share its
database. At least in a workgroup, I'm not certain about domains.
Search for that term on the Microsoft supoort web site for all the
details.

2) When not in a domain (where Acitve Directory handles user
authentication), all the shared user need to be users on the machine
with the shared database.

Luther,

YOu seem fairly knowledgable about BCM. I have the latest update installed
on my workstation. I want to be able to have one centralized database. Are
you aware if it is possible to have the database for BCM on a data server
(specifically either an SBS 2003 or a Windows 2003 server using Terminal
Services).

I merely want to centralize the data, and not have data wander about the
business. Have you been successful at doing this with BCM? If so, is there
a relatively straightforward way setting up BCM to do just this.

TIA,

Larry L.
