BCM works, but everything else stopped working

Can anyone explain how this happened:
Two computers on the same network, files shared and everything working fine.
Network access is 100% with no sharing problems. OneNote 07 on both machines
and again, no problems...until installing the BCM. Since then, OneNote will
NOT sync, and I can't access any of the shared folders on the other PC... all
permissions on the host PC were investigated and everything appears to be ok,
but when trying to access the shared folders-an error pops up and says that
permissions are not granted. However, the BCM syncs like its supposed
to....any suggestions would be appreciated...

What happens if you disable the BCM add-in in Outlook?
