We use Office 2000 on Windows 2000, we've recently ran the MS patch MS 04-011, 012, 013, 01

When closing an unsaved Word, Outlook or Excel file the internal speaker beeps once when he's getting the "Do yo want to save the changes you made".
All the sounds are at none in Ctrl pnl except for mail notification and reminder office.
· I removed reminder office, rebooted, same problem
· In Word tools - general - provide feedback with sound is not check marked
· Removed the check markin the office assistant options" Make sound", same problem
· checked accessibility option

Got this solution from MS and wanted to share it:

1 - Open Device Manager
2 - Select View at the top of dev man
3 - Click on Show hidden devices
4 - In the device list, you will now see a Non Plug & Play devices list
5 - Expand the list and select Beep
6 - Right click on beep and select disable
7 - Reboot PC and the beeping will stop
