Begining Project

Bradley

I am a novice project user. My question is - I would like to use porject
2003 to schedule my training classes that have different start and end dated,
some are reoccuring. None of them are dependent on eachother. Would each
course be a task? I am not sure how to start. I am looking for some
direction on how to do this along with some free training on how to start
with project. Any help would be great. Thank you.

If you have a recurring class, apply the Gantt Chart view, select a new
blank line, and then click Insert - Recurring Task. In the Recurring Task
Information dialog, enter the name of the class, the Duration of each
session, the Recurrence Pattern, the Start date of the first class, and the
number of occurrences. Then click the OK button to create the recurring
class.

If a class is a one-time session only, apply the Gantt Chart view, and then
enter the name of the class in the Task Name field and enter its duration in
the Duration field. Double-click the task and select the Advanced tab.
Click the Constraint Type pick list and select the Start No Earlier Than
constraint, and then enter the start date of the class in the Constraint
Date field. Click the OK button to apply the date constraint on the task.

Hope this helps.
