Beginner Ecommerce site

I am fairly new to Frontpage and a friend of mine has asked me about the
possibility of creating a website from which she can sell her paintings. Is
this likely to be beyond the scope of a beginner? And are there any
websites/books to talk you through the process? Any information would be
gratefully received.

You will need:

1) To purchase a Secure Site Certificate for the web site.
Google for "SSL Certificate"

2) You will need to make arrangements for a credit card merchant account
throught a bank.

3) You will need to purchase a third party E-Commerce software program to
integrate it all.

4) Take a look at Paypal for FrontPage integration.

Paypal would be the way to go for limited number of items to sell and pretty
easy to setup.

The easiest way is to set up a paypal account and use the "Buy Now" or "add
to cart" buttons.
Otherwise, yes it can get complicated.
