Don't try to figure out how to use MSP by just looking at templates. As
Dale pointed out, the ones bundled with Project and/or available on the
MS web site are as good as any. But you need to to AT LEAST read
cover-to-cover a decent textbook such as "MS Project 2003 Step by Step"
from MS Press, plus acquire some fundamental knowledge of the discipline
of formal project management. If possible a classroom course in PM is a
very good idea. Just like learning Word won't make you a writer,
looking over Project templates won't make you a project manager.
