beginners problem with decimal point display

One of the fields in my database I want to display 1
decimal place, even if it is .0. But depsite trying
various diffent options for the data type I find that .1
to.9 are displayed but when it is .0 the .0 is not
displayed. I know this is a simple question but plese help.
Also, I would like to learn more about using Access, can
anyone recommend a good book or tell me how they learnt?
(I have done CLAIT+ and ECDL but they are extremely basic)

Thanks for that help - it is working fine now. Can you

I would reccommend the book Microsoft Office 2000, it
teaches you all the basics using databases. It will also
teach you the basics when using excel and word as well. I
found the book very useful and you can purchase it at any
book store.
