Being able to view pictures in Powerpoint created ona MAC

I recently brought in a PowerPoint presentation on my PC that was created in
Powerpoint for Mac. I cannot view any of the image files and they all state
I need QuickTime and a TIFF (uncompressed) decompresser installed. I have
QuickTime Player installed on my PC, but how do I get a decompressor? Has
anyone seen this problem before? Is there any solution for it?

Will the problem go away if I have QuickTime PRO for windows installed on the
Windows PC?

One solution found:
I have the advantage of having both a MAC and PC side by side. So, I can
open up the same PowerPoint file on both machines. The graphics on the MAC
version need to be converted. First save a new version of the MAC file.
Select an offending picture. Under Edit, select Picture Object (bottom of
listing). A message comes up "This is an imported picture, not a group.
Convert it to a Microsoft Office drawing?". Click YES. Do this for all
offending pictures. Save this new MAC file. Transfer to PC and all pictures
should display correctly.
