Being prompted for component from install disks but its never foun

Outlook and Word as soon as they start to open, a message box comes up
stating "Preparing to Install." Then I am prompted to put in the original
installation disks. to After placing original Office XP installation disk in
CD drive the component is never found. Then I cancel out of this message
telling me the component isn't found, and then software works perfectly. How
can I stop this from happening. Do I have to reinstall Office XP? I do not
want to do that.
