Bend word to your will

Tom Veatch

Hi, I downloaded the document "bend word to your will" a while ago and
had a template based off of it. I lost my old files durinng a reformat.
And now when I started to make my own agian, all the table styles that I
remember from Clives files are gone. All the tables in the document are
plain word tables, and the autotext shortcuts to clives tables don't
function. What could have caused this?

You would need to use Clive's template to get Clive's AutoText entries.

You can use Organiser (look it up in the Help) top copy the AutoText entries
out of Clive's template.

Hope this helps

I tried that, but even the tables in the document he mad himeself are
just generic word tables, I remember it being some custom styles.

Hello Tom,

Have a look at the notes in your copy of "Bend Word to your Will" under
these two headings:

-- Transferring styles from one document or template to another via the
Organizer

-- Attaching a template to a document

You can transfer the styles you want from either "Bend Word" itself or from
the template.

AutoText entries are stored in the Normal template, and it's possible your
Normal template may be damaged, but we can't tell with so little
information. If you need more help, please describe your version of Word
and the OS, and give a lot more detail on the scenario.
