Benoit: grey narrow grid stationery

A

Andy

I really like Benoit's grey narrow grid stationery, but I'd like a few
tweaks. If the grid could be lighter gray or a light blue and just slightly
larger, that would be perfect. Double-spaced writing in OneNote is still
buggy (sometimes it still registers as only one line, not two).

If Benoit could post up a new version with the tweaks, that would be great.
If not, I'd like to know how to edit OneNote stationery to play with the
background grid lines like that. The current stationery creation methods
don't allow that. Thanks.

Andy,
Check out "Creating your own stationery" form my OneNote site:
http://www.onenoteanswers.com/onenote_article6.htm
It steps you through changing the stationery and re-saving it, as well as
building your own new pieces.

Hi Kathy,

Thanks for the link, but if you check out the stationery I'm talking about
you'll see that it's not a simple one. It actually changes the background
grid size.

I see what you mean, Andy. I think what he did was to create a whole new set
of grid available only for this stationery. I would love to know how that
was done. (I hadn't looked at the design of the page, I had just guessed it
was done like the others.)

I'll admit having used internal tools to create these narrow grid lines. The
grid spacing setting is unfortunately not available to the user beyond the
presets.

I could tweak the color, but did you simply try using Page Setup and pick a
different color? Light blue is available there. If you'd rather have a
different one, could you try in MsPaint's colors, finding or creating the
color you want, then giving me the Colors->Edit Colors->Define custom
colors's Red, Green and Blue numbers. This way I could create a new
stationary with that specific color.

Oh wow, didn't realize you could directly change the grid color that way,
thanks. Perhaps you could make a note that it's possible on the template
page, or maybe change the title so that it just says "Narrow Grid".
Including the "grey" probably made me think that it was a permanent color.

Thanks for this! Could you make a version that is just slightly bigger? I
don't know the actual dimensions, but it'd be nice to be about 1 or 2 pixels
bigger on a 1400 x 1050 scale.

Thanks,
Andy

any chance we can make a stationary similar to this but w/ a line at the
bottom of the page marking when the new page will begin ( handy for printing )

Thanks!
