After reading about all of the options for archiving emails, the only one
that has any appeal involves duplicating my current identity (18+GB) and
deleting old messages from the one I intend to keep using and new messaged
from the one I want to call my Archive.
Problems, however, duplicating a database that actually functions. Every
time I try it, I seem to get problems that require a database rebuild that
then fails.
Before I could use my 2004 database in 2008, I had to do a rebuild under
2004. So I don¹t think problems will antedate the creation of the current
database.
What might I be failing to do? What should I be careful to do and not do?
Finally, am I correct in my belief that any other method will result in loss
of full header information, most particularly the date and time the messages
were sent and received?
Thanks!!
Best,
Bill
