Best format for converted Visios

Fiddle Feller

My document is getting huge and inserting Visios is no longer an option.

What is the best way (file format, resolution) for importing a large Visio
drawing into a Word doc?

PNG? TIFF? BMG? JPEG? Something else?

Should the resolution remain at 300 dpi for printing?

The best way to insert a (mostly, probably) vector drawing like one from
Visio into Word is as a vector drawing, not a bitmap like PNG, TIFF or JPG.
Try WMF (Windows MetaFile) or enhanced meta file.

My experience is that sometimes line types change in the process (e.g. from
dashed to solid). :-(

But at least the size stays manageable.
