Best images to use in Visio besides vector?

I am creating a stencil for our work and I need to import a lot of images of
our products to do network diagrams and such with them.

In the future I would hope to get the chance to create vector images of all
of our products, but right now I need to know what the best format is to us
to import into Visio.

What's the best format for resizing the images once in Visio besides Vector?

the challenge is that there is a real tradeoff of quality vs size when
playing with bitmap images (beyond the issue that you cannot edit them in
visio they are just pictures). For many the favorite is a an anti-aliased
jpg or tiff image.
The second issues is that when you shrink the image you lose information, so
that if you try to enlarge it the data cannot be replaced.....
