I've picked up some good information on cascading drop down lists. But before
I tackle a fairly large project by using this method, I'm wondering if
someone can check this and make sure this is the best way or if there might
be a better solution:
I have a list of names with unique ID numbers (last names, first names and
ID Numbers each in their own field). The potential problem is that there are
1200 clients. This would make for a very long list.
Users will be tracking contacts with these 1200 clients over a month's time
using a daily log in form. Sometimes one sees the same client several times a
day and sometimes only once a month. At the end of each day the users submit
their forms to the database. The supervisor needs to pull out information on
each user's contacts on a weekly and a monthly basis.
I would like to be able to have the users type in the client's number and
have the form autofill the name field on the InfoPath form.
Suggestions are most welcomed.
