I am using InfoPath 2007 and need to populate a dropdown control with data
that essentially needs to be a collection of the names of my existing sites
in our sharepoint site collection. Does anyone know the best practice for
architecting this? I know I will probably need to use a secondary datasource
and bind the control to that source. But my real question is; do I need to
create my own custom web service to achieve this call to collect the sites
from my site collection. Or is there a fancier way using InfoPaths data
sources to go straight against an existing sharepoint web service method...?
I am trying to avoid having to sign my infopath form with code as this is a
web presented infopath form... Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated...
