Best scenario for same form in multiple sites

Hello, I have an infopath form, there are 27 forms, and yes it has to be
separate as the wordings are different but they all have the exact same
fields. They are uploaded in a project site template that is reused over
for many jobs. One field has be modify for the sharepoint library data
connection so that it will go to the correct site/Library before it is
published. Will that affect anything with same form template in many sites?
When I modify that data connection and put it in the template and republish
it to a different site, will it overwrite the other form that is specific
with that data connection? infopath 2007 and moss.

Looking for an answer to this myself. I have a single form deployed to 16
SharePoint sites in the same site collection. Shared data connections reside
at the top level, other data connections are site speciufic and reside on
each site. The form and the published template are therefore modified
slightly for deployment to each site, all drerived from a single source form.
This seems to be working at the admin level but when regular users use the
form, errors result. Any suggestions?
