Hi,
I have some questions regarding vCard (and vCalendar) support on mobile
phones.
What of the most available mobile phones (Nokia, SonyEricsson, Samsung,
Siemens...) have the widest vCard/vCalendar support? My goal is to
syncronize my Outlook contacts to a mobile phone. On the phone, I want
to see (preferably) all the properties by choice. I also want to
insert/edit any object and the property on the phone and sync back to
Outlook.
Some of the properties I miss is full address support, IM address,
company, job title, birthday and all the other most used properties you
find if you open a Outlook contact or calendar. Far as I have
experienced, the vCard support is very limited on the models I've
tried. I often see that I loose properties if I syncronize back to the
mobile, the view on the phones is very limited and so on.
As for the default sync programs (the quality and reability vary a lot)
I can accept using a third party solution. Oh, I wish they all could
use ActiveSync.
Take a look: http://www.imc.org/pdi/pdiproddev.html
Anyone got some experience with vCard and vCalendar on mobile phones?
Kind regards,
Bonavox
