best way to upgrade??

I have Office XP for students, which doesn't have Access.
I also have Office Professional 2000. What would be the
best way to purchase Access - upgrade Office XP or get an
Access upgrade?

XP is nicer but there are not huge differences.
I've had trouble when adding Access to existing suites as it tends to write
a different version of Outlook to the mix
