Does anyone know if Office 2003 supports CMI messaging?

Hi, Manuel,

If you're referring to the CBT Messaging Interface defined by the AICC, I
doubt very much that Microsoft has even looked at it. Office isn't listed
among the products at http://www.aicc.org/pages/design.htm. Have you asked
the AICC whether they've heard anything?

What sort of support are you looking for? I looked at the interoperability
requirements in CMI001, which requires (for the file-based version) Windows
INI files and comma-delimited text files. Since VBA is supported in each
Office application, and there are native VBA commands for dealing with both
kinds of files, it certainly would be possible to write a CMI-compliant
CBT -- and that would be true in any version of Office back to Office 97
(and possibly even earlier). The applications themselves, though, don't have
anything specific to CMI.
