Having downloaded the Beta version of Office 2007, I installed it with my
Academic 2003 version. All works fine except PowerPoint. When opening .pps
attachments from email or trying to play .pps from the hard drive, the sound
dies after three seconds and an error message pops up, looking for the Speech
Recognition files. When prompted to install them, it looks into the
installation package but baulks when it cannot find the PRORET.MSI file.
This file is connected with the professional Office 2003 and not the academic
so I don't have it anywhere. After installing the Technical refresh, I no
longer get that error message, but have no sound in PowerPoint at all. Any
clues??
