BETA - Outlook 2007 - Connection to Exchange is making OL Crash

R

Richard

Using OL 2007 Beta 2. When I setup to connect to exhange server it connects
the first time and pulls down the data from Exchange. If I close OL then it
will not connect. I start OL and get the Profile screen. I pick the profile
for exchange. I get a login screen to connect to the domain, and before I can
type the password, I get a dialog box that says "Microsoft Outlook has
stopped responding" and has a progress bar as it collects data to send.

If I delete the .OST file then it connects and reloads. But if I just close
OL and restart, select the profile I get the "Microsoft Outlook has stopped
responding" dialog

Any Ideas?
Thanks,
Rich

Version of Exchange?
Tried it with a clean/new mailbox already?
Are you running any add-ins?
Created a new profile already?

Not sure the version of exchange. Is there an easy way to tell? large
company, not sure who manages exchange.

Yes. tried on fresh Vista Beta 2 no outlook before.
tried on xp pro. tablet edition. deleted .ost and profile and recreated.

tablet extensions for outlook. But removed it and no change.

yes. deleted the old profile and created a new one.

Also, I have a POP3 profile and it is working fine. I was going to try to
kill the POP3 profile and have only the exchange profile. Will try on tuesday.

Any idea?
Thanks again,
rich

if it's exchange 5.5, it will not work period. What does the OWA screen look
look? If it resembles outlook 2002 or 2003 it's not 5.5.
