BETA Word 2003 does not show certificates when adding signatures

I am evaluating Word 2003 beta on Windows XP. I tried to
add a digital signature to my doc using Tools->Options-
Security, but the certificate list in the dialog window
Click to expand...
is empty. I do have certificates installed on the PC and I
can see them using IE. Why is Word not getting my
certificates?
