better categorization of contacts and accounts?

Hello BCM users,

As a freelancer I have to do a lot of acquisition. There are a lot of
different data to be sorted to keep the overview: what branche (and
subbranche thereof) is the contact from, what is the temperature (level,
state) of the prospect, when do I have to renew the contact, what is the
history of the contact?
And preferably with an overview in one table.
(The problem will be the same when you have to deal with clients and
salesfigures, but in my case the amount of actual clients is small (+/-10)

It is very difficult to keep this overview with BCM 2007. In BCM 2003 and
earlier I sort of artificially made use of categories, which made it possible
to make some categorization (but certainly not all).

Is there anyone who knows a way to make BCM more suitable for my needs, or
do I have to go back to Access or use an add-in like Act! to make my contacts
(prospects) more understandable.

(I did post this question twice. I just found out there are two different
newsgroups for BCM: one under 'Business Solutions' and one under 'Office and
Desktop Applications' ->'Outlook'. Maybe they are the same, maybe not: I will
know it soon: sorry for the inconvenience)
