Terribly Disappointed

I am so disappointed right now with your Customer Support and supposed 'free
trials'. I purchased a new computer which came with Office installed for a
free 60-day trial. I was unable to activate the product in order to do
anymore than just read existing files. I continued to receive an error
stating that the Internet Connection was not detected, I disabled my
anti-virus & my firewall which still did not resolve the issue. The
workaround provided on your website to activate by phone wasn't even an
option as it was grayed out. I contacted support, after 1-hour and speaking
to 4 different people I was told that there is no support for trials and that
I should try again in 24-48 hours. And basically after that my only options
are to either just buy it without trying it or purchase a product from
someone else. That is ridiculous. The person tried to give me a website in
order to purchase Office and I told her that I didn't want to purchase
without first trying it. I tried to explain to her that I have been on the
phone for an hour and she was the 4th person I've spoken with on this issue.
I also stated that I was so disappointed already without even trying the
product yet...why would I want to purchase it? She proceeded to rush me off
the phone without offering any type of solution and without the least bit of
sympathy. She became terribly rude and wouldn't even let me speak. This is
unacceptable to me. If this is how potential customers are treated, I can't
imagine how poorly actual customers are treated. What a disappointment!

Interestingly enough, this newsgroup is not a conduit to Microsoft. Alas,
while we feel your pain, there is nothing we can do.
