Better help for 'no disk' Office 2003 update. Very frustrating

8 months ago during a windows update I lost my exel program. Every attempt to
update to 2003 has resulted in asking for the original office disk. Sony does
not provide any disks. I am not able to use excel or update my office.
If you have the 'Larger File' option listed please make sure it will
actually work.
Please notify me when there is an Office 2003 update that will work on a
Sony Desktop.

Hi Kuudaman,

All PC suppliers who purchase licensed products from Microsoft for resale are required to provide the Office 2003 CD. Some of them
try to get around this a bit by placing an image of the CD on the PC and then providing a utility where you burn your own. It's not
the expected behavior.

If Sony will not make a CD available then you can purchase a replacement CD from Microsoft. Use the contact numbers through
http://support.microsoft.com

When a repair process or additional feature installation is required the MS Windows/Office Installation program expect to have
access to the original installation source to be able to fix an issue.
