I've spent the last half hour looking in windows help, outlook help, and
microsoft websites to try to find out how to make sure that .jpg users trying
to open jpg email attachments prompt the user (whether to open or save to
disk) before opening. All I found were statements saying that .jpg files are
usually safe. I finally stumbled on the solution on accident when I was
resigned to that I'd have to delete .jpg from the file type associations, and
let windows start from scratch. Most people would never find that and people
who have taken windows suggestion that .jpg files are usually safe and let
thier pcs default to opening them without prompting are likely to find
themselves with major problems due to the recent realizations about the
weaknesses in .jpg files
