Better then Timer Event?

M

Mark

Hello All,

I want to run some queries at the same time each day (6:00 AM and then at
600PM). Is there something better then using a timer event? Is there a
trigger that can be used that will run as soon as it hits the 6:00 hour? I
hate to have to use a timer event and check every minute to run reports on
12-hour increments.

It makes more sense to use an external scheduler that will fire at those
times, to execute a command line that runs Access and specifies the
database in question along with the /x option to execute a macro, which
in turn runs the queries.

not sure about this - but isn't there a timer control (as per vb)? (try
extra tools) - this is invisible control - set the time - it only fires when
it hits zero at which time you can set it again
