Better to buy full product, or upgrading is reliable

Hi,
I used to do end-user computer support and during that time I saw some
problems when people upgraded their existing MS products rather than buying
the full new versions. Should I just go ahead and buy the full version of
2007 or is the upgrade bulletproof?

I've never had any issues with Microsoft upgrades in the past 18 or more
years of using them corporately, in my wife's small business and at home,
including OneNote 2007.

I've seen several issues where the only systems affected were ones where
Office or Windows was an upgrade version. If you don't believe me just look
around in the MS KB a little.

I believe you.

I'm simply responding to your question: I've never had any trouble with
upgrades.
