big file size

hi everyone,
i have one strange problem, when i was working on one word document which
has 97 images. all images were small and file size of the document was 7.8
mb. i started editing the document and made few changes, filesize jumped to
40.1mb. i tried to compress all the images useing picture properity, but
that didn't help. i saved the whole document as webpage and 55 images are
500kb to 600kb and other images are 3kb to 20k max. all images are same size
but somehow some images has huge file size and some has samll. i even try to
copy all content and paste in new document but file size remain same.

i don't understand what should i do to decrease file.
let me know anyone as any suggestion.

Turn off Fast Saves, as that will add incremental changes to your document -
and with so many images, many new copies of each image will be saved
internally.
