Hello, longtime Office 2004 user and suddenly word docs began opening with a macro-error message. Could not proceed with opening docs, printing etc.
I de-installed Office then reinstalled from an old installer disk-image i had saved - could not find my original installer CDs.
With the new app installed, upon trying to open existing Word docs, garbled text is appearing, including the phrase "end of document" in parentheses. When creating NEW docs, I likewise get this at the end of a sample line of text I type in: >>Âñå, ÏÈÇÄÅÖ ! (end of document) <<
Obviously something's deeply wrong here. I presumed reinstalling Office would resolve it
but not the case... running 10.3.9, Word V.11.0.
I haven't EVEN gone in to check the other apps
like Entourage/Excel but expect similar glitches.
Any ideas of how I can clear this up (and, at least hopefully salvage original Word docs)?
Have run disk utility/repair permissions- that didn't help. Greatly appreciate any advice!
Thanks
Mike
