Has anybody seen that? It's not an easily reproducible but here are steps
that are working for me all the time (it' important to follow them exactly
if anyone is interesting.) For simplicity and uniformity of verification you
will also nee OutlookSpy installed. In Outl2003:

1. In the "Personal Folders" space create a new folder ("Test")

2. Select that folder and make sure that "Reading Pane" view option is not
"Off"

3. Create a new post in this folder (New->Post in this folder) filling Subj,
Categories and text fields with something (doesn't matter what) Save it and
close that Inspector.

4. Make sure that this post is a) selected and b) is shown in the "Reading
Pane"

5. Right-click on that item and select "Mark as UnRead" (Item should get
"bold")

6. Press "Item" button in OutlookSpy's toolbar and when item viewer is
launched switch to its "Functions"pane.

7. Right-click on the "Test" folder in folders pane and select "Mark All as
Read" (the "boldness" should disappear from item)

8. In OutlookSpy's item viewer select "Save" function and press "Call"
button

9. An error message should appear.

And this error will persist until all the references to that item are
cleared (i.e. OutlookSpy's viewer is closed, another item or folder gets
selected). After that "Save" starts working again. Another thing to mention
is that if you do "Mark as Read" on item (instead of the entire folder)
there is no problem with "Save" It seems that only "Mark All as Read" causes
that problem.

For me it's a big issue because I have a lot of sync operations that are
going "under the hood" and one singe "Marl All as Read" will screw up
everything. So, I would highly appreciate any help on how to solve/work
around this issue.

TIA,

Vladimir
