Billing and Project Server

Just thought I'd toss my line in one more time on this one.

I have a requirement to use Project Server to collect hours for billing for
one of my departments. I feel there are significant issues meeting all the
collection and reporting requirements.

Anyone have any experience with using Project as a billing tool? Is it
wise?

Can you recommend additional software or programming that might help?
