i have a quick question about project central functionality. given the amount of time each employee works and on given projects, is there a way to generate a billing report for different customers

Hello,
Ms Project is not really an accounting software but it can calculate costs
proportionally to the Work of employees and to their rates. Each employee
can have 5 different rates according to the nature of the job.

The costs that project is tracking are the costs of the resource to your
organization. If you are going to bill a client your need to make sure that
all of the addional costs - hiring, training, facilities, utiltities,
administration, tools, and most importantly of all, PROFIT margin, as well
as many other factors are added before you decide how much to bill the
client. Projects core functinality is NOT an accounting or time & billing
package, it is a project schedule and budget planning and tracking tool.
While it can provide some input data for billing software, it is not
sufficient in and of itself to replace it.
