=BIN2HEX(0) results in #NUM?

Why does BIN2HEX not work to convert 0 from binary to hex unless you explicitly state the number of places?

From what I can tell, this is new to this version, and unique to only the value 0.

So, to follow up on this: we have verified this issue with our Hex
conversion functions and are investigating them now. Thanks for reporting
this.
