Version: 2008 Operating System: Mac OS X 10.6 (Snow Leopard) Processor: Intel Email Client: pop I am unable to edit a birthday in my contacts. The contact info defaults to 1 Jan 1970 whatever I do.
Under Entourage in the Menu bar, select Switch Identity. Create a new test
Identity. No need to enter any info for setup. Open the Address Book and
enter a contact for testing and enter the birthday. Does it work? If yes,
then rebuild your current database to see if that will fix the problem.
Make a duplicate in the Finder first as additional backup. A rebuild does
make a duplicate, but sometimes in the process the original and backup get
merged resulting in total disaster. It's rare but it happens.
