Hi ALl!
I have a worksheet where I had created custom view to hide certain rows and
columns which user would not use very often, to make the worksheet a bit
easier to read. These custom views have worked fine until today.
My client asked if COmmand Buttons could be placed on the sheet for folks
who were "menu" challenged". This did not seem like a big issue. So I
created a command button object on the screen for each view, recorded a macro
to trigger each view, then added the macro code to the VB editor page for
each button. This worked just fine for a bit, and then the commands started
not working. No error messages, just when I would push the button for a
different view, nothing would happen. So I deleted the buttons, macros, and
any associated VB code in the editor and went back to just having the views
accessible from the menu. They still will not work. Also, I started getting
the Macro security wondow error when i would try to exit the Edit mode on the
Command toolbar.
I have verified there are no macros in the macro list
No Command object on the screen
Command toolbar closed
All Customs views are deleted
Saved and closed the workbook
Rebooted
Still, after I create a custom view, save it and close the custom view
dialog box, then I go back the worksheet and unhide all the rows and
columns...when I click on the custom view I just created in the dialog box
and click on "Show", nothing happens.
It is very bizarre, as everything worked fine this morning.
