Black Cursor For Work Window Doesn't Function

I seem to be having multiple problems with Word these days. In addition to
this cursor problem, my status bar continues to disappear and I continually
have to go to preferences to set it again. I can address this status bar
problem in a separate post, however it, and these other problems may be the
result of a systemic disorder (or application disorder). Also, as I have
posted before, I have had the problem of the unwanted Bookmarks being
rechecked in Preferences automatically, without my rechecking the box.

Black cursor problem:
In typing the Apple>Ctrl>Minus, the black cursor appears, but then reverts
to the regular cursor the moment I click prior to moving the black cursor
to the item in the work menu I want to remove from the list.

Also, the black cursor only appears the first time I press the keystrokes.
After that, the keystrokes don't work. What I tried was to press the ³save
all² icon. A window appeared saying ³Word cannot find the designated menu².
When I close that window, I have another shot at having the keystrokes
create the black cursor, but again it disappears in the same way I
described, and again I can't get the keystrokes to produce it unless I
repeat the above process.

I would like to use the Work Menu, but I always have had problems with it.
Before this, I found that items I put on the Work Menu disappeared from the
menu due to I don't know what.

Thanks,

Rafael

I just went to my Archives and I see that I already asked the Black Cursor
question and that I have answers there that I have to study.

Sorry, Rafael

Thanks Rafael:

Get back to us if you cannot solve this.

It sounds like it might be haxie-related.

Cheers
